Hey guys,
If you're in Melbourne during Comedy Festival (24 March-17 April) please come and check out "Donna and Damo: An Asexual Love Story" on at The Arts Centre, Southbank.
It's a show I wrote for the 2009 Melbourne Fringe and it ended up selling out, and got rave reviews. I think people find it really refreshing to see a different perspective on a love story. It's a very funny tale, and has characters everyone falls in love with.
Tickets are already on sale, and can be purchased here:

Hope to have you along! We had a number of asexuals come last time, and they loved it. You could make a night of it and organise a group meet up, possibly? You are our target audience. We love raising awareness about asexuality through the show!
There are LOADS of press interviews coming up in which we'll be talking all this asexual. So far these are:
- Show was featured in the Courier Mail (Qld) today 25th February
- Herald Sun feature (Date to be announced)
- Style Magazine Feature 5th March (Qld only)
- 3MBS interview on Accidental Arts with John Sheridan, 20th March
- 3CR Curtain Up interview with John and Carolyn Gunn 21st March at 12.50pm
- SYN fm interview on Get Cereal 22nd March
- Get Cereal Breakfast Show, Ch 31 22nd March
- 3PBS interview on The Opening with Fiona Gruber 23rd March
- ABC radio interview with Derek Guille (Date to be announced)

"LOW tech and low budget, this Fringe
Festival show might be, but it’s big on
imagination. Better still, it’s huge of heart.
Penned by Sarah Collins and Justin
Kennedy, Donna and Damo consists of
two actors, two stools and some very basic
transparencies on an overhead projector.
But the writing, acting and direction are
first rate: professional and tight.
Donna’s a kind young woman whose
self-esteem is so low she’s running on
empty. She does telesales for a company
that tours rural outposts offering women
makeovers and staging glamour shoots for
them. She’s good at her job because she’s
selling something she wants desperately
for herself. She wants to scrub up and slim
down for her beloved boyfriend.
He’s a nasty piece of work, a live-at home
film blogger with grand delusions.
He dumps her during a delayed Academy
Awards telecast for revealing who won a
supporting actor award.
Enter Donna’s gormless, bike-riding
Prince Charming, Damo, who stumbles
into her workplace offering a no obligation
spellcheck. Determined to fix
Donna’s broken relationship, Damo helps
Donna get to an out-of-town glamour
shoot by giving her a dink. A very long
dink.
It could all be terribly twee and obvious;
instead, it’s as cute and adorable as a
kitten. Clocking in a little over an hour, it
won’t leave you saddle-sore".
